KUMC began a “Weekend Snack” Backpack Ministry for the Ceredo-Kenova area schools in 2011. It serves the CK Elementary School, CK Middle School and some Spring Valley High School students whose families we help in elementary and middle schools. Backpack food programs provide nutritious, easy-to-prepare food to children who may not have access to adequate meals during weekends and school breaks when free school lunch programs are not available.
